Running Time : 2:48
Country : USA
Summary : “Weeds” tells the story of a dandelion,
rooted on the wrong side of the driveway in a barren yard surrounded by dry dirt and dead grass. Just across the concrete lies another yard, where the sprinklers spray water endlessly, and the greener grass holds the promise of a better life. While watching helplessly as its fellow weeds wither away and die, the dandelion faces a decision: take action or suffer the same fate.
Director Bio : Kevin Hudson is fulfilling his dream to bring to the screen the story of a little flower that overcomes great odds in the pursuit of a better life. Kevin’s vision for this movie stems from his deep belief that dreams, hope, wishes and perseverance can overcome any distance or challenge.
Hudson is an American Film Maker who has devoted his life to the craft. He is best known for his work as a Digital Artist and is currently part of the team at Walt Disney Animation Studios. Some of the movies he has worked on are BIG HERO SIX, ZOOTOPIA and MOANA. Before Disney he worked in visual effects and was a member of the teams that brought to the screen movies that include; Stuart Little, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Hollowman, The Polar Express, and John Carter of Mars. HYUN MIN LEE joined Walt Disney Animation Studios in 2007. Her credits include “The Princess and the Frog,” “Winnie the Pooh,” “Wreck-It Ralph” and “Frozen.” She was the final line supervisor for the Oscar®-winning short “Paperman,” and character design supervisor on this year’s short “Feast.” Lee animated scenes in “Big Hero 6” that included characters Hiro, Baymax, Tadashi and Cass, among others. She worked on several scenes that highlighted the relationship between the characters, paying special attention to facial expressions and body language. 1. Hand Drawn Category
Fantasmgorie ( 1908 ) France by Émile Cohl

The first animated film created by using what came to be known as traditional (hand- drawn) animation
Fantasmagorie was an animated film by French caricaturist, cartoonist and animator Émile Cohl. It is one of the earliest examples of hand-drawn animation, and considered by many film historians to be the very first animated cartoon. Despite appearances the animation is not created on a blackboard but rather on paper, the blackboard effect achieved by shooting each of the 700 drawings onto negative film. The title is a reference to the “fantasmograph”, a mid 19th century variant of the magic lantern that projected ghostly images on to surrounding walls.

JUNK HEAD ( 2017 )
115 min. - Animation | Action | Adventure | Stop- Motion | Japan

Humanity is dying. It's been 1200 years since our rebellious clone workforce moved underground, and the only way we can survive is by plunging into the depths to learn more about our terrifying creations.

Based on the director's award-winning short of the same name, JUNK HEAD is the culmination of eight years of creative vision. It's the kind of

animated marvel you don't often see; an amusing world you wish you could walk into, that also happens to be a uniquely touching meditation on existence and mortality.

SHEEP & WOLVES ( 2017 ) Animated Feature ( US Premier ) 85 min. – Animation | Adventure | Comedy

In a magical faraway land, in a picturesque little village nestled among green meadows and rolling hills, lives a flock of carefree sheep. But their pas- toral and stress-free life is interrupted when a pack of wolves sets up camp in the nearby ravine. In accordance with ancient traditions, the retiring pack leader Magra announces that his future successor must prove his right to lead by vanquishing his rivals. When the powerful and blood- thirsty Ragear steps forward, the only wolf brave enough to challenge him is Grey, the pack's favorite, but a hope- less goof ball. To become a leader and win back Bianca's love, Grey goes off into the woods, where he discovers a camp of Gypsy rabbits. The fortune- teller rabbit Mami gives him a magical "transmutation potion." Grey drinks the potion and goes back to the wolves' den, but finds out upon arrival that he has been transformed into... a ram!
