PSIAF 2019 SCREENING AND EVENT SCHEDULE
Palm Springs, CA – The Palm Springs International Animation Festival honors one-day, one-night screenings of their award-winning films and shorts for 2019. The event on December 14th at the Mary Pickford Theatre will lead with an advanced screening of “The Snow Queen: Mirrorlands” - the movie series that inspired “Frozen” direct from Russia and will be shown in English. Bookending the evening with the support of Netflix is the mysterious and romantic Academy Award contender “I Lost My Body” starring Dev Patel.
PSIAF will keep things moving along with their 2019 award-winning shorts broken up before each feature film, with a 30-minute block program of “best in shorts.” PSIAF is known around the world for recognizing an extensive list of categories in animation.
Each film is only $5 for Adults and $3 for Children 12 and under. A VIP All-Day Pass are only $15, Children VIP are $8. The event will include hosted food and beverages for VIP ticket holders.
12:00 PM – PSIAF 2019 Jury Award-Winning Shorts ( 30 Minutes of Shorts ) 12:30 Funan- 1 Hour 22 Min. R ( For Mature Audiences) - Oscar® Qualifying 2020 Animated Feature by Directed by Denis Do. Voice of Oscar Winning Lead Actress in "The Artist" Bérénice Bejo" ( 2011) winner of 5 Oscars including over 199 award nominations.

2:00 PM – Bongee Bear and the Kingdom of Rhythm - G Rated 90 Min Animated Feature - a young orphan bear, Bongee (voiced by Emmy winner Rob Paulsen), becomes the life-long friend of the young Princess Katrina (voiced by Debi Derryberry) and vows to protect her with his life. Screening opens with PSIAF Winning Animated Short film Nothing to Say by Aubry Mintz
4:00 PM – – Academy of Dream Awards – Featuring winning animated short “Exceptional Minds Animation Block “followed with a panel discussion with Howie Hoffman, Dani Bowman, David Butterfield and the filmmakers honoring disabled animators who despite their challenges have created animated shorts. This special segment of PSIAF is to encourage them to pursue dreams and tell their stories through the animation art form.
5:00 PM The Snow Queen: Mirrorlands 80 Min - PG-13 – US Premier animated full-length film based on the classic fairytale written by Hans Christian Anderson,1845, (also the author of The Little Mermaid) and known to be the inspiration for Disney's Frozen. Screening opens with Keepers of Wonder – Sneak preview of new animated TV Series episode by Wizart, creators of The Snow Queen: Mirrorlands, including PSIAF 2019 Winning Animated Short "A Moonlight's Tale" by students at the SVA School of Visual Arts in New York.

Screening opens with Daughter winning animated short film by Daria Kashcheeva -Annecy Winner – Oscar® Qualifying Short 2020
